About Winter Kashmir - X'Mas & New Year

Jammu and Kashmir is home to several valleys such as the Kashmir Valley Chenab Valley Sindh Valley and Lidder Valley . Some major tourist attractions in Jammu and Kashmir are Srinagar, the Mughal Gardens, Gulmarg Pahalgam , Patnitop and Jammu. Every year, thousands of Hindu pilgrims visit holy shrines of Vaishno Devi and Amarnath which has had significant impact on the state's economy.

Itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN SRINAGAR & LOCAL SIGHTSEEING ITINERARY

• Arrival: Welcome to Srinagar! Arrive before 12 Noon and take a cab to houseboat to Nigeen or Dal lake Meeting point 
• Local Sightseeing: After settling in, embark on a serene Shikara ride on the iconic Dal Lake. Visit the Mughal Gardens and nearby attractions.
• Overnight Stay: Enjoy the unique experience of staying overnight on a traditional houseboat.

DAY 2: SRINAGAR TO GULMARG

• Transfer to Gulmarg: After breakfast, depart for the scenic drive to Gulmarg, known for its stunning meadows and snow-capped peaks.
• Gondola Ride: Enjoy a thrilling Gondola ride to Kongdoori Peak, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
• You can take part in winter activities like Sking, snowboarding, sledge, snowbike etc
• Overnight Stay: Relax in the cozy ambiance of your hotel in Gulmarg.

DAY 3: GULMARG TO PAHALGAM

• Transfer to Pahalgam: After breakfast, proceed to Pahalgam, a picturesque town known for its lush greenery and flowing rivers.
• En route sightseeing Drung waterfall, Saffron Valley, Avantipur ruins, evening rust at Lidder river 
• Overnight Stay: Unwind at your hotel in Pahalgam.

DAY 4: ARU VALLEY, BETAAB VALLEY SIGHTSEEING & RETURN TO SRINAGAR

• Local Sightseeing: Begin your day with a visit to the beautiful Aru Valley, a haven for nature lovers. Continue to Betaab Valley, famous for its scenic landscapes, and Chandanwari, the starting point of the Amarnath Yatra.
• Return to Srinagar: In the evening, return to Srinagar for a comfortable stay at a hotel.

DAY 5: SRINAGAR TO SONMARG OR DOODHPATHRI

• Day Trip: Choose between a visit to Sonmarg, known for its lush meadows and tranquil atmosphere, or Doodhpathri, a hidden gem with rolling green hills.
• Trekking Adventure: Enjoy a local trek to either Nilnag Lake or Sukhnag, immersing yourself in the pristine beauty of Kashmir’s lesser-known areas.
• Return to Srinagar: Head back to Srinagar for your final night’s stay.

DAY 6:  DEPARTURE

• Farewell: After breakfast, check out from your hotel and proceed to the airport for your onward journey, taking with you unforgettable memories of Kashmir’s unparalleled beauty.

• Personal expenses such as tips for drivers, entry fees to monuments/monasteries, camera/video camera charges, laundry, telephone bills, tips, etc.
• Airport pick-up and drop-off not included.
• Pony rides are excluded.
• Any adventure activities not specified in the inclusions are not included.
